Support My Birth
Women have been consuming their placentas for all of time. Placenta encapsulation is the process of turning a placenta into powder and putting that powder into capsules which many feel is an easier way to ingest the placenta and enjoy all the benefits the placenta has to offer.
Some Potential Benefits
Consuming your placenta is believed to:
-Lessen postpartum bleeding
-Support during the “baby blues”
-Balance your hormones
-Help increase iron
-Give you an overall happiness
-Your placenta is made specially for you by you and gives you back the hormones and nutrients you need to help with your postpartum recovery.
The Traditional Chinese Medicine method of preparation involves cleaning the placenta, gently heating the placenta with fresh ginger, lemon, and a hot pepper, slicing it into strips, dehydrating, and then grinding the placenta strips into powder before it is put into capsules. Using this preparation is thought to bring out the placentas healing and tonifying properties as well as warming and healing the uterus.
In TCM theory, the process of labor and birth leaves a lot of open, empty space, which is considered very yin, or cold. Therefore, one major way we can promote healing during the postpartum period is to add yang energy via heat.
Raw Start Method
The Raw method of preparation skips the steaming and herbal process and instead is sliced and put in the dehydratror while it is still raw. The placenta is then dehydrated at 160 degrees that helps destroy bacteria but preserves nutrients. Using this option provides a burst of energy upfront and great hormone stabilization.
Interested in both methods?
I can process 1/2 the placenta TCM and 1/2 raw for an extra $15.
Worried about the taste?
Try the grape or coffee flavored capsules at no extra cost. There is nothing added to the placenta.
Just sending a note to say thanks again for your work! I can't believe what a difference the pills make in my mood. I'm so grateful to have the option and will be recommending it strongly to any expectant moms I know. Postpartum is going so much better than with my first son.
So awesome! Placenta power.
Placenta Encapsulation Fee is $200
